I like Rammstein. Humor, in a foreign language, and good music. What else can you ask for?

NIN is indeed full of 'effects' which is why their older stuff is far superior to their newer stuff. Try listening to The Fragile (my favorite of their many albums, though Downward Spiral is fantastic too). If you think that's too effect-ish then try Pretty Hate Machine. Don't be too critical of the effects though, a lot of todays bands use them. Also, what makes NIN so great is Trent's talent itself. A lot of people don't like the music but will admit that he is extremely talented.
And my oh my he's got muscles. o_o

Take away the singing in Disturbed stuff and it's pretty good. I have a friend who listens to it,so I can say that.

Metallica's second album was gold, the rest was kinda bad. And for Hardcore rock I forgot to say the stooges and the new york dolls.

I'm going to hazard a guess that you don't know what you are talking about.
I'm not flaming, honest, I just think you are confused about the number and age of Metallica's albums.

You want rock that's actual music? Listen to Tool. Listen to NIN.
... that is to say, I hate heavy metal, 'hardcore' rock, 98% of Goth music, 99.99% of emo music... I like to keep my ears intact, please. Fanks!
As for rock in general and it being 'Satanic' I believe we should all go with Bill Hicks on this one:
Man I hope some of you out there know who New Kids on the Block were...

totaly agreed, thats why tool is a great band. Complicated drums/guitar/ and great lyrics. Then rush, pink flyod, and NIN are great bands....just because they arnt screaming and there songs MEAN SOMETHING.
....ZZzzzZZZzzzZZZzzz.....
/Edit: Janes addiction ftw...
/Edit x2:www.toolband.com <-----go there!!! Its not scary like your goth bands T__T

I really went off metal a few years ago..I'd much prefer listening to a good singing voice these days.

I would rate And Justice among the top 5 albums ever, by any band. I'm not some diehard Metallica fanboy either - matter of fact I really hate all the stuff they've put out in the last decade or so. I actually like and listen to a very wide variety of music - having DJ'ed for a few years will do that to you.
